Job Description

We are currently seeking a hands-on Kitchen Manager to join our management team. Reporting to the Director of Culinary Services, the candidate must have prior management experience in a kitchen, with up-to-date food safety knowledge.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining food hygiene, service, and presentation, as well as aiding with menu planning and costings to ensure the budgeted Gross Profit Margin is achieved.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen and associated areas.
  • Aiding with menu planning and costings to ensure the budgeted Gross Profit Margin is achieved.
  • Accommodating food orders conforming to company purchasing policy, using only approved suppliers.
  • Maintaining good communication and working relationships with clients, customers, and staff.
  • Cleaning and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.

Requirements include:


  • A relevant culinary qualification and 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen.
  • Experience in industrial catering, ability to prepare sophisticated food items, and multitask.
  • Ability to deal and communicate effectively with staff and customers at all levels.
  • A passion for food and service, flexible approach to hours and duties, and willingness to undergo training as required.
