Senior ICI Estimator role in Ottawa, up to 120K+, Projects $5M and higher

Hays Construction & Development is partnered with a mid-sized ICI GC in Ottawa to recruit for the role of Senior Estimator!. They have been a successful company for decades.

They are in a planned growth phase over the next several years and need help to do that!. Future positions for you here could be Chief Estimator!



Your new role

As the Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are crucial to the success of the projects.

Your key responsibilities include such things as identifying and pursuing bid opportunities. To accomplish this, you will actively search for potential projects to bid on, ensuring a steady pipeline of opportunities.

You will be responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the estimating system.

You will also manage a comprehensive database that includes costs for labour, materials, equipment, and rentals to ensure accurate and efficient estimating.

You will be part of the team that is responsible to evaluate project costs and risks. Analyze potential risks and opportunities related to project costs, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be considered for this position, your post-secondary education should include Construction Management/Engineering or similar.

You should have at least 7 or more years of practical and professional experience, ideally in the local Ottawa area. Bilingualism is a strong preference but not required.



Your project experience should include Lump Sum as well as Construction Management/Design Build and have experience working on new build projects in excess of $5M.
