We are looking for a Buyer for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Hybrid schedule, at least 4 days in the office. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role.
Role Description
The ideal candidate will report to the Team Leader and will provide day-to-day material buying support to Lloydminster Upstream Operations, Maintenance, and Turnaround teams.
Responsibilities
- Execute and manage computerized material ordering and scheduling, fulfilling all material requirements (stock replenishment & work order demand). Execute urgent material requests from business unit.
- Create & Maintain RFQ’s to obtain price & delivery information from suppliers for non-contract materials. Ensure best value in terms of price, delivery, product quality, etc.
- Manage repairable material lifecycle.
- Maintain Source Lists in SAP to support streamlined MRP ordering process
- Work with SSC to address price discrepancies, PO confirmations, GR/IR imbalances
- Work with Inventory Technician to ensure prompt and accurate execution of MRP Collective List (Planned Order to Purchase Requisition conversion)
- Work with Warehouse staff to ensure timely goods receipt of materials to meet requirements date and support internal KPI’s (OTIF)
- Deliver training as required to maintenance planners to ensure understanding of the integration points between PM and MRP
Required Skills and Experience
- Post Secondary Certificate/Diploma
- Minimum of two years’ Purchasing experience
- Supply Chain Management certification is an asset
- Experience in SAP MM (Materials Management) is an asset
- Knowledge of Procure to Pay (P2P) lifecycle is an asset
