Our client is seeking an ambitious, confident, and analytical Accountant to join their team in a full-time, permanent capacity. This position contributes to the overall corporate objectives through the accurate completion and recording of financial reports, as well as all other full-cycle accounting responsibilities. Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prepare weekly bank reconciliations.</li><li>Process and record Pre-Authorized Payments.</li><li>Prepare intercompany reconciliations and invoices.</li><li>Complete month-end procedures and reporting requirements.</li><li>Prepare year-end working papers for external financial statement audits.</li><li>Maintain policies and procedure manuals relevant to accounting responsibilities.</li></ul>
Requirements:<ul><li>CPA designation or within two years of completing the CPA program.</li><li>3+ years of experience in a progressively responsible accounting role.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and experience with Dynamics Great Plains (an asset).</li><li>Strong work ethic, superior attention to detail, and effective time management.</li><li>Positive attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Exposure within a lending environment (banking and/or leasing) is an asset.</li><li>Agreeable to a criminal background and credit check.</li></ul>
