<p>True North Sports + Entertainment is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team.</p><p>The<br>Accounts Payable Clerk<br>will be responsible for capturing and recording the day-to-day financial functions and activities to all True North entities and their related functions.</p><p>What to be excited for in this role:</p><ul><li>Opportunity to be part of a collaborative and experienced finance department that values continuous improvement and the contributions of its team members.</li><li>Process invoices ensuring expenses are properly allocated.</li><li>Prepare disbursements on a time appropriate basis.</li><li>Record all invoices into accounting software.</li><li>Perform monthly and other periodic reconciliations/supporting schedules and journal entries, commensurate with monthly financial statement preparation.</li><li>Ensure compliance with government legislation with regards to taxation including but not limited to Goods and Services Tax, Harmonized Sales Tax and Provincial Sales Tax.</li><li>Assist with ad-hoc reporting requests.</li><li>Perform other duties as required to support the finance function.</li></ul><p>What we need from you:</p><ul><li>Innovative problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to accuracy, detail, and prudent financial management.</li><li>Proven ability to prioritize competing demands in a diverse and evolving environment.</li><li>Combination of relevant experience and/or education with emphasis on accounting.</li><li>Superior skills in the use of pc-based tools, accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.</li><li>Responsible team member, with capacity to meet objectives and required timelines.
