Document & Configuration Management Analyst – Aerospace (Remote)
Location: Remote (Canada)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Hours: Must support West Coast (California) hours (until 7–8 PM EST)
About the Role
We’re seeking a Document & Configuration Management Analyst to oversee engineering document control, PLM system management (Teamcenter), and configuration change processes within our organization. You’ll play a key role in tracking and managing engineering changes, maintaining version control, and ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards (S1000D, ATA 2200, AS9100, ITAR, etc.).
This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in PLM systems (Teamcenter preferred), configuration management, and technical documentation processes within aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industries.
Key Responsibilities
Document Control & Compliance
- Maintain and control engineering and company documentation (policies, procedures, work instructions).
- Ensure version control, approval tracking, and compliance with aerospace and regulatory standards.
- Develop standardized document templates for consistency.
PLM & Change Management Support (Teamcenter Preferred)
- Support configuration management activities, ensuring proper tracking and approval of changes.
- Manage engineering change requests (ECRs) and change notices (ECNs) in a PLM system.
- Assist with Teamcenter administration (workflow approvals, access control, troubleshooting).
- Train users on document workflows and PLM best practices.
Reporting & Audits
- Generate reports on document status, audit trails, and change control activities.
- Ensure documentation meets compliance standards for internal and external audits.
What We’re Looking For
– 3–5 years of experience in document control, configuration management, or PLM administration.
-Hands-on experience with PLM software (Teamcenter preferred, Windchill, SAP PLM, or Enovia also applicable).
-Familiarity with engineering change control processes (ECR, ECN), version control, and compliance tracking.
-Technical writing or document control experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or engineering environments.
-Strong understanding of S1000D, ATA 2200, AS9100, or ITAR compliance (a plus).
–Ability to work California (PST) hours (must be available until 7–8 PM ET).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting internal users on PLM/Teamcenter workflows.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Jira, Confluence, Scrum, Kanban).
- Certification in document control or configuration management (e.g., CCMP).
