Job Title: Assistant Catering Manager

Aramark is seeking an experienced Assistant Catering Manager to join our team at a conference center in Kamloops, BC.


The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring events are executed accurately and efficiently by the catering team. This includes managing the supply of equipment and resources needed to deliver events, as well as supervising staff required to execute all conference center activities.

This position reports directly to the Catering Manager and requires:


  • Serving it Right certification
  • Food Safe certification
  • A valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain effective client relationships and deliver consistent quality in event planning and execution
  • Facilitate the delivery of prepared food and setup of events as per banquet event orders
  • Train and lead catering employees to ensure high standards of service and presentation
  • Provide quality assurance on all requests and deliverables before events
  • Ensure accurate reporting of catering revenue, expenses, and receivables
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and develop team members to meet business objectives


Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in the food service industry
  • Catering and banquet experience is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and decision-making skills
