The Family Solutions Group provides comprehensive legal consulting to individuals and families and provides mediation and collaborative services. As one of the oldest full-service regional law firms in Alberta, we have built continuous connection with the community and our clients and work hard to find solutions for our clients that are practical and family-focused.</p><p>Our firm is proud to be one of Alberta’s Top Employers. We are now actively seeking to add a talented family law associate to join our team of legal professionals in our Edmonton office. The successful candidate will:</p><ul><li>Have 3 to 7 years of post-call experience in family law</li><li>Possess outstanding conflict resolution, negotiation, and communication skills</li><li>Be highly motivated, reliable and client-centric</li></ul><h3>Knowledge & Skills</h3><ul><li>Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy</li><li>High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability</li><li>Strong work ethic and positive team attitude</li><li>Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills</li><li>Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with internal and external contacts</li><li>Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners, and a variety of clients and external contacts</li><li>Strong issue identification and problem-solving skills</li><li>Effective file and practice management skills, a willingness to collaborate on projects with other lawyers and stakeholders</li><li>Strong commitment to the ethical practice of law</li></ul><h3>Education Requirements</h3><ul><li>JD or LLB required; admitted to the Alberta Bar (no exceptions)</li><li>Practicing lawyer with 3 to 7 years post-call experience</li><li>In good standing with the Law Society of Alberta</li></ul><h3>Compensation</h3><ul><li>Exceptional bonus structure</li><li>Health benefits (inclusive of a Health Spending Account)</li><li>Quality work on various file types</li><li>Professional development and educational support</li><li>Access to business development and marketing resources</li><li>Opportunity for growth within the firm</li></ul><h3>How to apply</h3><p>If you are interested and meet the above requirements, please provide a cover letter and resume to the Director of People & Development at ebanick@dcllp.com.
