<h3>Role Summary</h3>
<p>Our client, a leader in the automotive manufacturing sector, seeks an experienced licensed automotive technician to provide maintenance service to customers across engineering, retrofit, marketing teams, and the Canada fleet. The Automotive Technician will diagnose and repair various vehicle sub‑systems, instrumentation, and test development vehicles, providing mechanical leadership to drive innovations.</p>
<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Conduct vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve system issues efficiently.</li>
<li>Perform instrumentation and testing on development vehicles to support engineering evaluations and innovation.</li>
<li>Execute automotive repairs and maintenance, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company processes/specifications.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate documentation and reports of diagnostic findings, repairs, and testing results.</li>
<li>Adapt to new technologies, repair procedures, and service specifications to stay ahead of industry advancements.</li>
<li>Provide excellent customer service skills, communicating professionally and effectively with clients and teams.</li>
<li>Ensure safety compliance with all regulatory guidelines related to vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and operational procedures.</li>
<li>Apply mechanical and troubleshooting expertise to innovative projects, assisting in the development of new technologies.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Required Skills and Experiences</h3>
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 8 years of automotive technician experience.</li>
<li>Exceptional vehicle systems diagnostics and troubleshooting skills.</li>
<li>Independent, professional, and capable of working immediately.</li>
<li>Proficient in GM Global Connect or similar vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and management platforms.</li>
<li>Proficient with MDI (Multiple Diagnostic Interface) GM technician tool.</li>
<li>Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.</li>
<li>Experience with vehicle instrumentation and sensors.</li>
<li>Ability to multi‑task in a busy environment and work independently or with team members.</li>
<li>Capability to identify unique situations and escalation accordingly.</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.</li>
<li>Knowledge of new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications.</li>
<li>Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.</li>
<li>Positive, friendly attitude and eagerness to improve.</li>
<li>Willingness to work in a cross‑functional environment.</li>
<li>Team collaboration skills to work effectively with others.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Basic knowledge of Intrepid Vehicle Spy tool and software preferred.</li>
<li>Demonstrated capabilities with electric vehicles.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability in providing mechanical and electrical solutions to new innovations.</li>

<h3>Education and Training</h3>
<p>Licensed automotive technician. Must hold at least a 310S license (or equivalent). A valid G Class driver’s license is also required. Natural Gas and Propane Vehicle Certification preferred. Wrecker license and Class D (or higher) driver’s license preferred.</p>
