AFIMAC Canada is seeking AZ Drivers for an upcoming assignment in Southwestern Ontario.
This position will require you to work 10-12 hour shifts, 5 - 6 days per week when assigned to a project
You will earn:
- $50.00 per hour before overtime
- Hotel accommodations provided when required
- $30 per day meal allowance when lodging is required
- Temporary Contract: 1-120 days
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
To be eligible to work for AFIMAC you must be able to meet the following criteria:
- Must possess a Class AZ license.
- Clean driving abstract (no moving violations and no preventable vehicle accidents within last 2 years)
- Minimum 2 years experience as an AZ driver.
- Tanker experience an asset
- Experience with hydraulics (preferred)
- Ability to operate a 30', 48', 51' tractor trailer
- Ability to operate a straight truck
- Ability to lift, push and pull 50+ pounds
- Able to work in hot and cold temperatures.
- Ability to bend, twist, push/pull and lean
- Self-starter with an ability to work with limited supervision
- Excellent sense of urgency, work ethic and attendance record
- Strong verbal and written communication skill
- Must be able to sit, walk, stand, and/or drive for extended periods of time
- Day, afternoon and night shifts.
- Able to read, write and speak English effectively
- A Canadian resident and/or legally allowed to work within Canada
