Azure Developer – ENTRA ExternalIAM Migration (34640)
Job Description
Our client in the insurance sector is seeking an Azure Developer with strong IAM migration experience, specifically migrating identity platforms from Salesforce IAM to Azure ENTRA External.
This is a senior, hands‑on role requiring deep expertise in IAM technologies, cloud security, and migration strategy execution. The developer will collaborate with business, security, and IT stakeholders while designing and delivering a secure, scalable identity platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of the IAM platform from Salesforce IAM to Azure ENTRA External
- Design and execute secure, scalable IAM architecture
- Integrate Azure ENTRA External with applications, systems, and third‑party services
- Implement best practices for identity governance, MFA, conditional access, and access control
- Collaborate with business/security/IT teams on requirements and progress updates
- Troubleshoot complex IAM issues throughout the migration
- Maintain technical documentation (architecture, configurations, processes)
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with Azure ENTRA External, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Conditional Access, Identity Governance
- Hands‑on experience with Salesforce IAM and its integration points
- Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0, SAML, SCIM, OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- Proven IAM migration experience — ideally Salesforce to Azure
- Familiarity with Zero Trust, RBAC, and cloud security best practices
- Strong communication and ability to manage project timelines
