The successful candidate will receive a hiring range of $48,000.00 - $58,000.00, reflecting the size of the department and store, which exceeds the job’s standard hiring range listed below.</p>

<h3>What You Will Do</h3>
<ul>
<li>Oversee day-to-day operations of the beauty department</li>
<li>Ensure the department meets or exceeds sales and profitability goals</li>
<li>Manage departmental expenses, shrink and labour</li>
<li>Communicate regularly with store management and other department managers to ensure store-wide goals are met</li>
<li>Possess a “selling is fun” attitude</li>
<li>Build customer loyalty through follow‑up and repeat business</li>
<li>Promote sales of beauty products; provide information on new or existing products and conduct demonstrations</li>
<li>Train and develop department colleagues in customer service, product knowledge, and merchandising</li>
<li>Seek out development opportunities such as workshops or education sessions to keep product knowledge current (e.g., Academy, vendor schools, YouTube)</li>
<li>Ensure merchandise is stocked, displayed, and priced appropriately</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and safe department for customers and colleagues</li>
<li>Identify and recruit great talent to join the team</li>
<li>Lead, coach and motivate colleagues to improve productivity, engagement, and retention</li>
<li>Maintain merchandising and operational standards</li>
<li>Build and lead diverse teams that foster a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging</li>
</ul>
<h3>What You Bring</h3>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred</li>
<li>Previous retail management experience, preferably in a beauty department</li>
<li>Proven consultative skills to provide information, advice, and guidance to customers on Superstore’s beauty products</li>
<li>Selling experience with a proven track record</li>
<li>Ability to conduct sit‑down makeup and skincare consultations and demonstrate application</li>
<li>Strong communication skills to make presentations, instruct individuals and groups on the use of cosmetics</li>
<li>Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop associates</li>
<li>Excellent organizational and time‑management skills</li>
<li>Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office</li>
<li>Knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service</li>
<li>Commitment to providing excellence in customer service</li>
</ul>
<h3>Physical Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li>Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends</li>
<li>Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time</li>
<li>Punctual and reliable</li>
<li>Ability to work in a fragrance‑filled environment</li>
<li>Ability to climb ladder</li>
<li>Ability to bend and stretch to stock shelves</li>

<p>$38,500.00 - $60,000.00 per year / 38,500,00$ - 60,000,00$ (par an). A candidate’s experience and knowledge, as well as the geographical region in which the position is located, may be factored into the pay a candidate receives for this position.</p></p>
