<p><strong>Position Title:</strong> Director, Campaign </p><p><strong>Department:</strong> Development </p><p><strong>Reports to:</strong> Executive Director </p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Remote or Hybrid – London, Ontario </p><p><strong>Position Type:</strong> Full-time, 3-year Canadian Medical Hall of Fame renewable contract</p><p><strong>Application Deadline:</strong><span> Wednesday, September 24th, 2026, at 5:00 pm</span></p><p><br></p><p><strong>About the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame (CMHF)</strong></p><p>The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame (CMHF) celebrates Canadian health leaders whose achievements have substantially advanced health and wellness in Canada and throughout the world. This tribute to our country’s rich medical history is showcased in the CMHF’s digital Hall of Fame and Exhibit Hall in London, Ontario. In addition, through local and national youth education programs and awards, the CMHF encourages young people to pursue careers in the health sciences, inspiring future generations of health care leaders.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Statement of Purpose</strong></p><p>The Director, Campaign plays a vital role on the team advancing the CMHF’s mission. This role provides strategic leadership to plan and implement a $5-$10 million campaign that will sustain and expand CMHF’s national impact.</p><p><br></p><p>Reporting to the Executive Director and working in close collaboration with the Director of Development, the Director, Campaign will lead all aspects of the campaign strategy—including mid-level and major gift fundraising—while building deep relationships with donors and volunteers. This position will work collaboratively across all functions to ensure the campaign is fully integrated into CMHF’s operations and culture.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>1. Campaign Strategy and Leadership</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and lead the implementation of a comprehensive multi-year campaign.</li><li>Align campaign strategy with organizational priorities in partnership with the Executive Director and Director of Development.</li><li>Ensure campaign efforts are well-integrated across the one team, including communications, programs, and donor engagement.</li></ul><p><strong>2. Mid-Level and Major Gift Fundraising</strong></p><ul><li>Manage a pipeline of 100–150 donors and prospects, guiding them through identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.</li><li>Collaborate with the Director of Development to craft compelling proposals for individuals, corporations, and foundations.</li><li>Support a culture of philanthropy by engaging CMHF team members in donor discovery and relationship building.</li></ul><p><strong>3. Volunteer and Cabinet Engagement</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as the primary liaison for the Campaign Cabinet, building meaningful relationships and supporting volunteer-led fundraising.</li><li>Manage all cabinet meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, advancing pipeline discussions, tracking next steps, and recording meeting minutes.</li><li>Empower volunteers with the tools, training, and insights they need to advance campaign goals in collaboration with the one team.</li></ul><p><strong>4. Collaboration and Integration</strong></p><ul><li>Partner across departments to ensure campaign messaging and goals are reflected in public communications, events, and education programs.</li><li>Work closely with the Director of Development on foundation strategies and integration with CMHF’s overall development plan.</li></ul><p><strong>5. Campaign Operations and Reporting</strong></p><ul><li>Establish systems and processes to monitor progress toward financial goals, track donor activity, and manage campaign timelines.</li><li>Provide regular updates to the Executive Director, Campaign Cabinet, and Director of Development to ensure alignment and momentum.</li></ul><p><strong>6. Donor Stewardship and Recognition</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate with the Director of Development to design and deliver personalized stewardship plans for mid-level and major campaign donors.</li><li>Ensure donors are appropriately acknowledged and recognized through tailored communications and campaign updates.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong></p><p>• A university degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; CFRE designation is an asset.</p><p>• 5–7 years of fundraising experience focusing on campaigns, mid-level, and major giving.</p><p>• Demonstrated success managing a portfolio of 100–150 donors, advancing them through the fundraising cycle.</p><p>• Strong relationship builder with exceptional communication and presentation skills.</p><p>• Experience working closely with volunteers and campaign leadership.</p><p>• Entrepreneurial-minded, able to take initiative, adapt quickly, and think strategically in a changing environment.</p><p>• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.</p><p>• Highly organized, proactive, and accountable in managing meetings, donor pipelines, and internal systems.</p><p>• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar fundraising databases.</p><p>• Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.</p><p>• Willingness to travel occasionally within Canada.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Accountability and Reporting</strong></p><p>This role reports directly to the Executive Director and works in close collaboration with the Director of Development and the Campaign Cabinet.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></p><p>CMHF offers a competitive salary and benefits, a flexible hybrid work environment, and the opportunity to contribute to a campaign that celebrates Canadian excellence and supports the next generation of healthcare leaders.
