Ottawa, ON K2E 8B4 Title of the position : Carpenter (CNP 72310) Number of job vacancies: 5 Job duties : Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools ; Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials ; Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems; Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments ; Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials ; Restore, clean or paint existing masonry structures ; Brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials ; Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster ; Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces ; Position and secure steel bars or metal mesh in concrete forms to reinforce concrete structures ; Other related tasks. Terms of employment : Period of employment: term or contract Hours of work: Full time, 40 hours/week Job start date: As soon as possible Overtime available On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
