<p>At Gofaizen & Sherle, we provide legal, compliance, licensing, accounting, and HR solutions to help fintech businesses establish and scale operations across jurisdictions.</p><p><br></p><p>We represent several MSB-licensed clients in Canada operating in the <b>crypto and fintech sector</b> who are currently seeking a <b>local Chief Compliance Officer</b> to oversee AML/CTF compliance and regulatory reporting.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Requirements:</b></p><ul><li><b>British Columbia</b> residency is mandatory;</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field;</li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience in AML/CTF compliance (experience in a second-line management role is a strong asset);</li><li>Solid understanding of Canadian AML regulations and FINTRAC requirements;</li><li>Fluency in English;</li><li>Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills;</li><li>Excellent organisational abilities.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Submit reports to FINTRAC as needed;</li><li>Conduct sanctions screening and monitor transactions to detect suspicious activity;</li><li>Identify and assess compliance risks, and recommend mitigation strategies accordingly;</li><li>Liaise with regulators and external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate communication.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Offer & Working Conditions:</b></p><ul><li><b>Fully remote </b>position, with the potential to transition to a hybrid or on-site work model, depending on regulatory requirements and mutual agreement;</li><li>Ideal for professionals seeking <b>side income or additional part-time engagement;</b></li><li><b>Stable monthly salary</b>, starting from 5 hours/month (CAD 500/month);</li><li>Additional duties compensated separately;</li><li>Opportunity to work with <b>innovative fintech and crypto companies</b>, gaining valuable industry experience in a dynamic regulatory environment.</li></ul><p></p>
