As a Junior or Intermediate Site Inspector, you will have the opportunity to work on impactful municipal infrastructure projects, including sewers, watermains, roads, and related systems.</p><p>This role offers the chance to grow professionally within a dynamic and expanding company, taking on greater responsibility and career advancement. </p><p><br></p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><p>We're hiring Construction Site Inspectors at multiple levels (Junior, Intermediate, Senior). The Inspector will be responsible for the inspection of the construction of roads, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, watermain, curb and gutter, sidewalks, stormwater management facilities and grading works to ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications and municipal/provincial standards. Work will also include liaison with contractors, preparing field inspection reports, tracking construction quantities, and assistance with contract administration duties including conducting site meetings and preparing meeting minutes.</p><ul><li>Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of contract drawings, tender documents and design and construction standards </li><li>Manage on-site construction observation of infrastructure projects, ensuring that projects meet the requirements of contract drawings and specifications. </li><li>Coordinate daily records of conditions, site activities, field measurements, and work progress. </li><li>Field experiences working around heavy equipment </li><li>Understand the hazards and safe work procedures for each task and inspection location </li><li>Valid driver's license and reliable transportation </li></ul><p> </p><p><b>Key Position Requirements</b></p><p>The following qualifications, experience and skills are required: </p><ul><li>Junior Position (0-3 years) overseeing municipal infrastructure (sewers, watermains and roadways) construction projects</li><li>Intermediate Position (4-7 years)overseeing municipal infrastructure (sewers, watermains and roadways) construction projects</li><li>Senior Position (7+ years) overseeing municipal infrastructure (sewers, watermains and roadways) construction projects</li><li>Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of contract drawings, tender documents and design and construction standards</li><li>Manage on-site construction observation of infrastructure projects, ensuring that projects meet the requirements of contract drawings and specifications.</li><li>Coordinate daily records of conditions, site activities, field measurements, and work progress.</li><li>Field experiences working around heavy equipment</li><li>Understand the hazards and safe work procedures for each task and inspection location</li><li>Valid driver's license and reliable transportation</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Education and Experience</b></p><ul><li>Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (or related discipline), or an equivalent combination of education and related experience;</li><li>Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and related experience;</li><li>C.E.T. certification or eligibility would be an asset;</li><li>rcci designation is an asset;</li><li>Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications;</li><li>Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook), familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D would be considered an asset;</li><li>Excellent communication, problem solving and attention to detail skills;</li><li>Demonstrated willingness to learn;</li><li>Ability to work both independently and in a team environment;</li><li>Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance;</li><li>Ability to work flexible schedules and travel to site locations within the area;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Benefits:</b></p><ul><li>Casual dress</li><li>Company events</li><li>Dental care</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Extended health care</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Mileage reimbursement</li><li>On-site parking</li><li>Vision care</li></ul><p><br></p>Create Your Resume First
