The Role

The Control Panel Assembler builds electrical control panels for heating equipment for customers across North America.

What You Will Do

Primary Duties:

  • Apply consistency in wiring and assembly method for units of the same type.
  • Assist with larger freight shipment preparation.
  • Build cabinets, mechanical assembly, drilling and tapping.
  • Carry out proper grounding procedures.
  • Conduct final assembly; install panels and doors, inspect paint surface and alignment of doors and panels.
  • Determine wiring sequence, layout, and location. Ensure space allowance for arrangement of wiring and components.
  • Inspect incoming materials.
  • Mark wiring and components where required.
  • Monitor products to ensure product and quality specifications are met.
  • Perform modular / sub-assembly.
  • Prepare units for shipment; check units per final checklist; ensure units are clean and dust free.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematic drawings, and single line drawings.
  • Repair and modify any errors detected by test/inspection.
  • Review wiring diagrams for accuracy. Resolve problems with appropriate personnel.
  • Work to CSA, UL codes and company quality requirements.

  • Must have a positive attitude and be self-motivated.
