ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
McDougal Energy is looking for a dynamic Corporate Treasurer to join our Finance team and play a pivotal role in driving our success. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the Corporate Treasurer will lead our finance initiatives, with a primary focus on optimizing debt, working capital and mitigating financial risks.
- Analyze and recommend optimal capital structure alternatives and roadmap to implementation.
- Evaluate the company’s borrowing capacity and optimal use of debt to finance future growth, focusing on current and future leverage.
- Support and manage financial structure, negotiating and executing financing transactions as needed, including bank facilities, debt financing, lenders, documentation review and covenants.
- Ensure Treasury strategies are aligned to support business growth while minimizing risk.
- Compile information from around the company to create a routine cash forecasting process, understanding the impact of working capital policies, accounting methods and capital projections.
- Provide strategic leadership to the Credit and Accounts Receivable departments, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in the collection processes.
- Champion the enterprise risk management framework, exercising sound leadership in mitigating credit, foreign exchange, interest rate, and commodity risks.
ABOUT YOU:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Post secondary degree in Business or related field with seven (7) to ten (10) years of treasury experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong financial planning skillset with an understanding of forecasting, strategy, and corporate finance
- Ability to handle large volumes of data, with attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent time management and organization skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize a significant workload
- Advanced Microsoft Office and excel skills; ERP experience an asset
