<p><h3>Your Opportunity</h3><p>We are currently seeking a Cost Controls Lead to join our team. In this role, you will provide the Program Manager, Program Delivery Manager, and Project Managers with viable information to support effective management and cost control across various projects. You will be responsible for implementing robust processes and controls to determine and maintain project budgets, actual costs, and Estimates at Completion (EACs). To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate efficiency, problem-solving skills, and resourcefulness, along with a strong commitment to the goals of the program.</p>
<h3>Your Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Lead, support, and collaborate with Program Team members to develop and maintain program and project financials (e.g., cash flows etc.) to support the delivery of the capital infrastructure program.</li>
<li>Prepare all required budget requests and related reporting (e.g., project justifications and rationale etc.) to ensure uninterrupted funding of program activities.</li>
<li>Develop and implement financial project control standards and procedures; monitor compliance and initiate corrective measures, as necessary.</li>
<li>Support the preparation of program budgets; collaborate with program controls and accounting staff to maintain accurate program accounting information in compliance with all funding sources; oversee the tracking and management of expenditures.</li>
<li>Maintain the assurance program to support compliance with the terms and conditions of interrelated state and federal loans, manage and update a comprehensive inventory of loan requirements to enable program compliance, communicate state and federal loans requirements to interdisciplinary teams that may include design, construction, safety, permitting, land use, real estate acquisition, finance and controls, procurement, and public outreach personnel.</li>
<li>Establish a procedural framework for preparing and reporting financial updates.</li>
<li>Manage and enforce adherence to financial project control practices and procedures.</li>
<li>Understand change management requirements and lead related activities to support successful project delivery.</li>
<li>Work as part of an integrated consultant-client team.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Your Capabilities and Credentials</h3>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience leading cost control efforts on large capital infrastructure programs is desired.</li>
<li>Experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms</li>
<li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and other business applications.</li>
<li>Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority assignments and adapt to evolving program needs.</li>
<li>Work in the client office as required.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Education and Experience</h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or similar discipline</li>
<li>8+ years of experience in developing and maintaining program and project budgets for complex capital construction projects and managing contract management information</li>
<li>8+ years of experience with developing processes and procedures related to cost and budget management for large capital infrastructure programs</li>

<p><b>Pay Transparency:</b> In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.</p>
