Project Description
The Apprenticeship Management System (AMS) project is being implemented to modernize registration, certification, and program administration processes. To support this system transition, temporary resources are required to enter and validate apprenticeship-related data into the new platform.
Position Summary
The AMS Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for accurately inputting, reviewing, and updating data within the new AMS. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistency in following data standards, and the ability to work efficiently with internal teams to ensure high-quality data migration.
Responsibilities
- Enter apprenticeship, certification, employer, and program-related data into the AMS.
- Validate and review all information for completeness and accuracy.
- Identify inconsistencies or missing data and report issues to supervisors.
- Maintain organized electronic records in line with project standards.
- Perform data-quality checks and routine audits.
- Protect confidentiality of all sensitive information.
- Provide updates on data entry progress as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in data entry, administration, or clerical work.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data migration or information-system transitions.
- Exposure to apprenticeship, trades, or regulatory program data (asset).
- Experience with CRM or enterprise data-management systems.
Work Environment
- Onsite in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
- Standard business hours, Monday–Friday.
- Duration based on project requirements.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: In person
