Position: Deburring Tech
Reports To: Deburring Supervisor
Summary
This position requires the use of various hand and air tools for the purpose of finishing precision parts (removing loose or fixed burrs, cleaning up sharp edges, polishing and blending machined surfaces) to drawing specifications.
Job Responsibilities
- Expert deburr functions including but not limited to breaking edges on corners, creating a radius, and polishing parts using hand and power equipment such as bench grinders, polishers, belt sanders Dimond Files, and air guns.
- Inspect dimensions to ensure components adhere to blueprint specifications.
- Clean parts as necessary using solvents.
- Maintain cleanliness of deburr area.
- May perform other duties as assigned by management.
Work Conditions
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
Requirements
- Minimum 2 year’s machine shop experience, or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job.
- Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
