Job Description

Reporting to: Vice President, Operations


Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 CAD annually


Vacation: 2 weeks


Benefits: Health benefits after 3 months of employment


Position Summary


The District Manager of Operations will oversee the overall performance and operations of multiple restaurant locations within a designated district. This role requires a strategic leader with strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for strong restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing operations, enhancing profitability, and ensuring compliance with company standards.


Key Responsibilities



  • Operational Leadership: Oversee operations of assigned restaurants, ensuring consistency in service, quality, and brand standards via store visits and conducting monthly audits.

  • Team Development: Coach, and train franchisees, restaurant managers and staff to foster a culture of excellence and high-performance using Shelby’s tools and resources. Training may take place at the restaurant or off-site location as required by Shelby’s Support Center.

  • Performance Management: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies with franchisees to improve sales, profitability, and guest satisfaction. (Google, Localyser, Revel etc)

  • Financial Oversight: Assist franchisees to analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to drive operational efficiencies and maximize profitability. Investigate and confirm accurate reporting of all information submitted to Shelby’s Support Center.

  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all locations comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

  • Customer Experience: Lead initiatives to enhance the guest experience, gathering feedback and implementing improvements as needed

  • Marketing Collaboration: Work with the marketing team and franchisee to promote brand initiatives and local marketing efforts to drive traffic and sales using a local store marketing plan.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on district performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior management.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in restaurant management, with at least 2 years in a multi-unit management role.

  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, financial management, and industry trends.

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to travel within the district as needed.
