Role Overview

As a key member of the operations team, the Facilities Engineer plays a critical role in facilitating the integration of generating stations maintenance and capital asset management processes to ensure Enfinite is making the right investments at the right time for long-term reliability of Enfinites facilities. This role serves as the Operations field representative for maintenance and capital work identification and planning, as well as engineering support for existing/new facilities. Positive leadership, relevant work experience, and technical knowledge are requirements for this position.

Core Responsibilities

Maintenance and Operational Support:

Collaborate with field operations teams to make asset risk and value-based decisions in both real-time and near-real-time environments.

Develop, assess, and prioritize scope, cost estimates, and risk assessments for maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with financial guidelines and operational best practices and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards.

• Leadthe integration and coordination of maintenance activities and capital investments, promotingefficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Initiate & Manageselectcritical maintenance projects.
• Facilitate the maintenance andoperationsmanaged capital planning processes, reporting, andparticipatingin work prioritization tooptimizeinvestments and operational success.
• Manage primary operations ofWhitecourt Assets.
• Managerelationship with SCADA Vendor. Facilitate continuous improvement projects onSCADAsystem to support asset performance and reporting.

Engineering and Asset Optimization:

• Create and review documentation to define problems, opportunities, and risks, recommendingappropriate actionsand strategies.
• Contribute to the technical due diligence for existing and potential assets, analyzing operational dataand performance metrics to improve asset value and reliability.
• Engage in the lifecycle cost analysis and technical evaluations to support continuous improvement andsustainability initiatives.
• Develop new asset capabilities toassistin commercializing asset technology as required.
• Monitor& evaluateasset condition monitoring data. Make inferences from data about assetcondition.

Leadership and Development:

• Build andmaintaintrusted relationships across multiple levels of the organization, engaging andmotivating teams to achieve operational goals.
• ActivelyparticipateinEnfinitessafety culture, leading by example and supporting operations in hazardidentification and mitigation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with the Finance, Development, & Projects teamswith auditing Operations data used in various forms ofassetfiles andfinancialmodels for accuracy and assetvaluations.Reviewcontracts,ensureproper expense tracking and cost allocations.
• Provide ad hocoperationsdatato supportthe Finance and Development teams withbudgeting, forecasting, or project review.

Travel:

• Up to 40% requirement to be on site but will vary based on operational and project needs, as well as flexibility for idealcandidatespreference.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelors degree in engineering, with an emphasis on Facilities or Mechanical Engineering considered an asset.Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.
• 3-5 years working engineering experience.
• Experience in the power generation or utility industriesis considered an asset.
• SCADAEngineering experience is considered an asset.
• Highly self-motivated with a proactivecan-learn, can-doattitude towardsachievingobjectives.
• Strong project management skills and experience, with a proven ability to manage maintenance schedules and budgets effectively.
• Familiarity with a variety of power generation technologies, includingutility-scaleenergy storage,renewable energy systems, andgenerator combinationsareconsideredan asset.

Additional Requirements and Information

• Field travel will berequired.
• A valid Class 5 drivers licenseisessential for this role.
• Travel will primarily involve addressing operational priorities during ongoing operations and providing support during the construction and commissioning phases of new projects.
