Family Physician - House Officer - St. Paul's Hospital & Royal University Hospital



  • Two House Officers provide in-house coverage to all medicine in-patients at St. Paul’s Hospital and Royal University Hospital between the hours of 17:00-08:00, 7 days per week

  • Consult support is received from specialists and sub-specialists

  • Compensation is $3,511.05 per 15 hour shift

  • Part time House Officer: 5-7 shifts of service per month

  • Casual House Officer: 3-4 shifts of service per month


Job Description

Remuneration: $3,511.05 per night of service – 17:00-08:00 Hours (pro rated for partial shifts at a rate of $234.07 per hour)


Job Qualifications



  • Current Saskatchewan medical licence with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan

  • Ability to obtain and maintain membership on the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) Practitioner Staff

  • Interest and experience in hospital-based medicine

  • Comfort with building collaborative working relationships with physicians and hospital staff

The College of Medicine has an intake of 100 students per year with a commensurate number of positions for residency training.
