Senior SharePoint Developer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior SharePoint Developer to lead the technical execution of a complex migration project. This involves upgrading legacy SharePoint 2016 sites to modernize SharePoint Online solutions using Microsoft 365 tools.

  • Create scalable and efficient SharePoint Online solutions using Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional solutions
  • Integrate Power Apps as needed with SharePoint Online, Dataverse, or other data sources
  • Design intuitive user interfaces and workflows to enhance user experience

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, combined with at least 4 years of relevant experience; OR associate's degree in computer science or a related field, combined with at least 6 years of relevant experience; OR certificate in computer science or a related field, combined with at least 7 years of relevant experience; OR active professional certification or accreditation, combined with at least 8 years of relevant experience
  • At least 4 years of experience collecting requirements, analyzing, designing or implementing Microsoft Power Platforms products and services, either on-premises or in a cloud infrastructure-as-a-service environment
  • Experience in completing migrations of applications and other technologies from one environment to another - 4 years
  • Ability to prepare and document materials for user acceptance testing - 2 years
  • Experience troubleshooting forms and workflows (all types) - 4 years
  • Experience with complex SharePoint projects including solutions depending on: managed metadata, workflows, forms, and user interface customization - 4 years
  • Experience in developing integrated system and technical design specifications on complex engagements with varying enterprise content management systems - 2 years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Microsoft certifications (e.g., Power Platform App Maker Associate, Power Apps Developer Associate)
  • Experience upgrading Microsoft SharePoint environments (e.g., 2013 to 2016, 2016 to Online) - 2 years
  • Experience using and supporting ShareGate - 2 years
  • Knowledge of the Government of Alberta's Information Technology/Information Management policies, standards and guidelines - 1 year
  • Experience with the use of Central Administration on a SharePoint environment - 2 years
