The <strong>Trenton Memorial Hospital (TMH)</strong> provides primary and some secondary care to patients, offering inpatient services and specialized clinical programs such as the Comprehensive Breast Assessment Centre.<br /> As a <strong>Healthcare Security Guard</strong>, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining safety and order within a healthcare environment—protecting patients, staff, and visitors while ensuring compliance with hospital protocols.</p><p></p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><ul><li> Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols throughout the facility </li><li> Perform patient watch duties and assist hospital staff as required </li><li> Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies </li><li> Control access and monitor visitor activity </li><li> Enforce hospital policies, including parking and smoking by-laws </li><li> Write clear, detailed reports and maintain accurate incident records </li><li> Participate in investigations and routine security checks </li><li> Provide exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and visitors </li><li> Maintain professionalism and composure in stressful situations </li><li> Perform additional duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Valid <strong>Ontario Security Guard License</strong></li><li> Valid <strong>First Aid & CPR – Level C Certificate</strong> (from a WSIB-approved provider) </li><li> Proof of <strong>minimum double COVID-19 vaccination</strong></li><li><strong>Immunization records</strong> (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and TB Tests) </li><li> Minimum <strong>6 months of security experience</strong></li><li> Valid <strong>G Class Ontario driver’s license</strong> and <strong>reliable vehicle in good repair</strong></li><li> Ability to <strong>commute to Kingston</strong> for pre-deployment training </li><li> Ability to <strong>site train at all four QHC facilities</strong> (Belleville, Trenton, Picton, Bancroft) </li><li> Must be <strong>clean-shaven</strong> to pass an <strong>N95 Mask Fit Test</strong></li><li> Legally authorized to work in Canada </li></ul><p></p><strong>Nice to Have</strong><ul><li> Previous <strong>healthcare security experience</strong> preferred </li><li> 1+ year of general <strong>security experience</strong> preferred </li><li> Certifications in <strong>Use of Force (UoF)</strong> and <strong>Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)</strong></li><ul><li> Applicants without these certifications can complete Paladin’s UoF/MOAB training prior to onboarding </li><li><em>Note: Training is unpaid as it is a pre-requisite, but Paladin covers all costs with a 6-month employment commitment</em></li></ul></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Paid Time Off</strong></li><li><strong>Overtime Pay</strong></li><li><strong>Health, Dental, and Vision coverage</strong></li><li><strong>On-the-Job Training</strong> and <strong>Growth Opportunities</strong></li><li><strong>Free Uniforms</strong> and <strong>Security License Reimbursement</strong></li><li><strong>Dry Cleaning & Tailoring Allowance</strong></li><li><strong>Daily Pay Option</strong> – work today, get paid today </li><li>Opportunities for professional development within Paladin’s growing network </li></ul></p></p>
