<p>A career as a <b>Senior Advisor </b>in the Investment Funds Accounting and taxation team at National Bank means participating in the transformation and having a direct impact on clients. This job offers the opportunity to evolve in a complex environment, helping to identify business issues and meet the needs of various stakeholders in order to support the implementation of strategic initiatives.<br></p> <p>National Bank's Investment Funds Administration team is responsible for calculating the unit prices of investment funds and producing their financial statements and tax returns.</p> <p><b>Your job</b></p> <p></p><ul><li>Analyze the tax situation of investment funds and make recommendations</li><li>Coach a team of 10 professionals responsible for delivering the various activities</li><li>Guide the team and help calculate distributions and produce tax returns for investment funds</li><li>Manage a strategic relationship with internal and external partners in order to establish a collaborative relationship, influence decisions and promote increased activity volume</li><li>Develop, implement and develop effective controls and work tools to achieve high quality standards, thereby ensuring the integrity of financial data when calculating investment funds</li><li>Calculate income distributions and capital gains and file tax returns for investment funds</li><li>Participate in, coordinate and monitor projects</li><li>Collaborate and contribute to improving activities and processes</li></ul><p><b>Your team</b></p> <p>You are part of a team of 12 professional management colleagues in Operations investments and will report to the Senior Director - Funds Accounting. With tax and accounting experts, we analyze and interpret data in order to make the best decisions for our clients and partners while meeting the challenges of tax and securities legislation.</p><p><b>Prerequisites</b><br></p><ul><li>Master's degree in taxation, completed or in progress and 6 years of relevant experience</li><li>Accounting designation (CPA)</li><li>Experience producing tax returns for trusts and corporations</li><li>Individual and team coaching experience and skills development</li><li>Knowledge of investment funds and trusts</li><li>Knowledge of tax, accounting and securities standards that apply to investment funds</li><li>Mastery of Excel (complex formulas and pivot tables)</li><li>Ability to maintain performance in a demanding environment and manage priorities well</li></ul> <b>Your benefits</b> In addition to competitive compensation, upon hiring you’ll be eligible for a wide range of flexible benefits to help promote your wellbeing and that of your family.    * Health and wellness program, including many options * Flexible group insurance * Generous pension plan * Employee Share Ownership Plan * Employee and Family Assistance Program * Preferential banking services * Opportunities to get involved in community initiatives * Telemedicine service * Virtual sleep clinic    These are a few of the benefits available to you.
