<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>General Manager – Metals Recycling Facility<p> Location: Fort Saint John</p><p> Salary: $130,000 – $140,000</p><p> Team Size: 15 people on site</p>About the Role<p>We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead operations at our facility in Fort Saint John. Reporting to the Regional General Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of the site’s performance, lead a dedicated team, and drive business growth through exceptional customer service and operational excellence.</p>Perks & Benefits<ul><li>Salary: $130,000 – $140,000</li><li>Vacation: 3–4 weeks</li><li>Profit Sharing: No cap!</li><li>Vehicle Allowance</li><li> Leadership Development Opportunities</li><li>Top up for <span >Maternity/paternity</span> leave </li><li>RRSP Contribution: 4%</li></ul>Duties as a General Manager: <ul><li>Lead and manage yard operations and staff</li><li>Works with the Regional Manager and VP, Operations to set annual budget for the yard, taking into account: equipment condition; environmental necessities; operational needs; business growth.</li><li>proactively identifies and pursues new business prospects for company and develop existing relationships to achieve growth in volume and market share.</li><li>Oversees environmental, health & safety programs and processes to create a safe environment for all employees, customers and visitors.</li><li>Measures and reports service and operational data and partners with corporate subject matter experts to enhance key performance measures.</li><li>Set and manage annual budgets in collaboration with senior leadership</li><li>Drive business development and customer growth</li><li>Ensure compliance with environmental, health & safety standards</li><li>Oversee HR functions including training and performance management</li><li>Implement continuous improvement initiatives</li><li>Collaborate with other locations and corporate teams to expand services</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>5+ years in <span >operations/distribution</span> management, including team leadership</li><li>3+ years managing a profit center</li><li>Adept at sales and business development and proven ability to win new customers and accounts.</li><li>Experience with continuous improvement programs</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office and business software</li><li>Scrap metal industry experience is an asset</li><li>Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset</li><li>Entrepreneurial mindset and collaborative spirit</li></ul><br /><p>#BRBC</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p></p></p>
