Job Title: General Manager – Dental Laboratory
Location: Greater Sacramento, CA
Salary: $120,000 – $150,000+ per year (DOE) + Performance Bonuses

We are a well-established full-service dental laboratory serving the Greater Sacramento area for over 30 years. With a team of 50 skilled professionals, we specialize in fixed prosthetics, removables, digital workflows, and orthodontics.
Our vision is to expand and acquire additional labs over the next 3-5 years, making this an exciting leadership opportunity for someone who is eager to drive growth and operational excellence.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, production workflow, quality control, and team leadership. The GM will lead department managers, optimize efficiency, and ensure outstanding customer service for our clients.
This is a high-impact role for an individual with strong dental lab experience, proven leadership skills, and a vision for growth. You will work closely with our CFO, board members, and leadership team to enhance operations and support long-term expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Oversee and mentor department managers across production, quality control, and office operations.
- Improve team leadership, efficiency, and accountability.
- Foster a positive work culture, ensuring smooth workflow and team cohesion.
Operations & Production Oversight
- Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality restorations.
- Address production bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and digital workflow integration.
Quality Control & Customer Relations
- Serve as the primary liaison with dentists and clients, addressing concerns and ensuring exceptional service.
- Implement and enforce high-quality standards across all departments.
Strategic Planning & Business Growth
- Align with company goals for scaling operations and expanding acquisitions.
- Work alongside private equity partners and develop long-term strategies for business growth.
Who We’re Looking For:
- 10+ years of experience in dental lab operations, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of fixed, removable, and digital workflows.
- Proven experience managing teams and department heads in a fast-paced lab environment.
- Excellent customer-facing skills, with the ability to communicate technical expertise to dentists.
- Ability to implement process improvements, drive efficiency, and optimize workflow.
- Experience in corporate or private equity-backed environments is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable with Exocad, 3Shape, or other digital design workflows (preferred, but not required).
