We are seeking a dynamic leader to serve as General Manager/Paramedic Chief for MEDSEO, responsible for the optimal operation of Elgin EMS, an integrated pre‑hospital care organization. You will provide strategic leadership, develop a comprehensive master plan, and drive innovation in paramedic service delivery for the communities we serve.


Reporting & Leadership


Reporting to the Lead, Ontario Operations, you will provide leadership for operational effectiveness, set direction and guidance for teams, and consult proactively with management, employees, and stakeholders to improve collaboration, project development, and delivery of healthcare services in St. Thomas.


Responsibilities



  • Develop and execute a comprehensive master plan to enhance delivery of paramedic services.

  • Lead operational teams and implement best practices and standardized operating policies.

  • Consult with stakeholders to continually improve collaboration, project development, and innovative delivery of healthcare.

  • Maintain a culture prioritizing patient safety, respectful workplace practices, and safety‑related initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with vaccination or medical exemption requirements for all staff.

  • Participate in customer service initiatives and maintain respectful relationships with all stakeholders.


Qualifications



  • Post‑secondary education in Health Science or equivalent, preferably with postgraduate or master’s degree.

  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in EMS or health care management, with a record of empowering and leading employees.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills; decisive, creative approach to complex situations.

  • Ability to work independently with accountability, function as an effective team player, and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
