The ideal candidate shall:
- Work well in a team environment;
- Have experience in HVAC design and CAD drawings;
- Experience in building energy modeling is an asset;
- Possess a technical diploma from a post-secondary institution;
- Familiarity with the National Building Code, CSA & ASHRAE Standards;
Role Responsibilities
The position will involve carrying out the following tasks, and includes coordinating with a team of engineers and technicians, to assist with:
- Review and analyze mechanical/ HVAC drawings from various engineering firms;
- Create detailed construction drawings and specifications;
- Create building energy models by effectively modeling building HVAC systems;
- Conducting field surveys to assess existing conditions and construction progress;
- Writing reports and supporting documentation for project submissions;
- Coordinating with other engineers and clients (i.e. architects, construction managers);
- Conducting construction administration;
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Proven experience in a design role, preferably within the construction industries.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs is essential.
- Familiarity with construction inspection processes is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
