Overview

Join our client, a rapidly growing retail leader in major home appliances. They operate in a fast-paced environment, competing directly with major retailers. Our client is seeking a Global Sourcing Specialist with strong expertise in the appliances industry for a private label. This individual will not necessarily be a senior executive or “head of sourcing,” but someone who has hands on, in depth knowledge of the appliance sourcing landscape, including suppliers, manufacturers, and category specific opportunities. The ideal candidate will bring existing connections, market intelligence, and proven experience identifying, vetting, and negotiating with suppliers in the global appliance sector.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing & Advice: Apply in-depth knowledge of major appliance sourcing to identify, evaluate, and qualify world-class manufacturing facilities. Advise the executive team on category expansion.


• Supplier Relationship Management & Negotiation: Lead all aspects of contract negotiation with major appliance suppliers, focusing on achieving optimal pricing, managing production timelines, and securing favorable shipping terms and compliance standards.


• Market & Factory Qualification: Proactively utilize established industry networks to identify new suppliers and manufacturers. Conduct thorough vetting and qualification of factories to ensure adherence to company quality, ethical, and compliance standards.

• 5-10+ years of sourcing or procurement experience within the appliance sector.


• Deep knowledge of global supply markets (Asia, Europe, North America, etc.).


• Strong network of contacts with appliance manufacturers and suppliers.


• Proven ability to vet and qualify factories for quality standards and compliance.


• Skilled negotiator with experience managing cost, timelines, and contracts.


• Ability to generate ideas, introduce new categories, and open new markets.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Culturally aware, able to operate across global markets and with diverse supplier bases.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on sourcing and procurement experience specifically within the major appliance industry


• Extensive Industry Network: Must possess strong, readily available professional networks and contacts within the major appliance manufacturing and supplier base.


• Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts, managing variables like cost, production timelines, and logistics/shipping.


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and results-oriented environment, comfortable jumping quickly from project to project.
