Job Summary:
The Handyman position involves performing general repairs, maintenance, and minor installations across residential or commercial sites. This role requires hands-on experience, the ability to work independently, and strong skills across multiple trades such as carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical work. Ideal for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance and general repair tasks
- Perform light plumbing, carpentry, drywall patching, and painting
- Install shelves, doors, fixtures, and hardware as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor electrical or mechanical issues
- Keep work areas safe, clean, and organized
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, property managers, or clients
Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of experience in general maintenance or handyman work
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to lift, bend, and work in a variety of settings
- Capable of working independently and managing time efficiently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in property maintenance or facility support
- Basic knowledge of building codes and repair standards
- Valid safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS)
- Own tools and reliable transportation
- Ability to interpret instructions, sketches, or repair manuals
