<p>I&C Engineer</p><p>We are looking for an I&C Engineer. This is a one-year, full-time contract.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Complete understanding and application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field. Provide Instrumentation and Controls design support to multidisciplinary teams on projects</li><li>Applying and selecting measurement and control instruments</li><li>Generating instruments RFQ, bid evaluation and purchase order requisitions</li><li>Reviewing and marking up instrument and mechanical packages vendor drawings</li><li>Working with Instrument Sizing and Calculation: Control Valve, Pressure Relief Valve,</li><li>Flow Elements-Orifice, Vortex, Turbine</li><li>Generating Instrument Installation details</li><li>Generating I/O list, control narratives, shutdown keys</li><li>Keep to agreed schedules and budgets for all deliverables</li><li>Basic design/specification and detailed design of I & C including control narratives, C&E, panel layouts, loop drawings, and P&ID's</li><li>Proficient in programming DCS and PLC systems</li><li>Create construction packages including scope of work and drawings and perform interdisciplinary reviews</li><li>Able to liaison with Client's during project meetings, HAZOPs, and adhere to Client standards</li><li>Able to prepare work hour estimates for small to medium size projects</li><li>Participate in project planning and execution</li><li>Support to commission systems and perform FAT/SATs as required</li><li>Ability to work alone, or lead teams of up to 5 people overseeing quality and able to mentor junior staff</li><li>Can actively identify scope and manage MOC processes and variances</li><li>Comply with all company procedures, engineering practices and other standards</li></ul><p>Requirements:</p><ul><li>10+ years of instrument & controls experience is required</li><li>P. Eng designation</li><li>Excellent organizational, communications, administrative and problem-solving skills</li><li>Strong project development skills related to project DBM, EDS and PEP requirements</li><li>Strong knowledge of process meters, valves, analyzers, sample conditioning systems, and other measurement devices, as well as variable speed pumps, and electrical design practices and philosophies</li><li>Expert knowledge of control systems and implementation experience with Emerson DeltaV system</li><li>Strong knowledge of industrial communication devices and methodologies</li><li>Strong project execution skills including HAT, FAT, SIFT, SAT, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, Startup, and turnover requirements</li><li>Experience in managing or working within an integrated project team with external vendors/contractors, and owner operator</li><li>Highly effective relationship builder at all levels, internally and externally</li><li>Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to work in a flexible team environment</li></ul><p>Job Type: Fixed term contract<br><br>Contract length: 12 months</p><p>Pay: $60.00-$80.00 per hour</p><p>Experience:</p><ul><li>instrument & controls: 10 years (required)</li></ul><p>Licence/Certification:</p><ul><li>P.
