Job Description
Electrician:Our client, a leader in the production of building materials is looking for a licensed Electrician to join their team in Mississauga.
Responsibilities:
Repair critical electrical equipment, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and complete projects such as mechanical and electrical hardware and software upgrades.
Repair or replace control devices such as switches, proximity sensors, push buttons, contractors, motor starts, thermocouples etc. as needed.
Responsible for making PLC program changes, installations or updates to maintain proper operations.
Detecting, troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in all types of equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical functions.
Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, including conveyors and/or cranes.
Comply with the Electrical Safety Authority, all legislated and company health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and programs, including lockout/tagout.
Required Qualifications:
Successful candidates must have related electrical maintenance experience in an Industrial environment.
Candidates require certification as an Industrial Electrician (442A) or as a Construction Electrician (309A) and strong background in PLC maintenance.
Previous crane, conveyor, pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance experience is a definite asset.
Possesses skill in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, especially electrical drawing.
