We provide specialized sales and service of rotating equipment and mechanical seals, servicing diverse industries including steel, chemical, and marine.   We’re currently looking for a new Industrial Mechanic/Millwright to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the diagnosis and repair of pumps and other related equipment and machines.   Working alongside a team of experienced industrial mechanics, your tasks will include:   * Disassembly of equipment/machines arriving to our shop for repair * Inspection, diagnosis, and reporting of repairs needed for equipment/machines * Repair, reassembly, and testing of equipment which includes the use of Oxy/Acet equipment, basic arc welding, and measuring tools such as micrometers, Vernier calipers, etc. * Basic maintenance of our shop to maintain cleanliness and safety   * Occasional use of company vehicle to pick up or deliver parts or equipment   Working with Eastflo   Over the last 35 years, our employees have come to know us as a company that looks after its people. In addition to providing a positive, flexible, and relaxed working environment, we make it our goal to show our employees appreciation and recognize their contributions.     As part of our team, here’s what else you can expect:   * Monday to Friday schedule, working 8 am – 4 pm, with occasional overtime as needed to meet customer needs * Excellent educational opportunities – if you are an apprentice or early career industrial mechanic/millwright, we will provide you with great hands-on training along with opportunities to work with varied equipment   * Variety in your day to day – there’s always something new coming through the door to work on   Qualifications   * Mechanical background with previous experience with equipment/machine repair   * Mechanically inclined with basic machine shop skills and experience working with hand tools * Experience working with measuring instruments (e.g. micrometers, Vernier calipers, etc.)   * Experience using Oxy/Acet equipment combined with basic arc welding knowledge and experience   * Valid G driver’s license   * Ability to provide your own basic hand tools * Any other relevant certifications would be a plus, but are not required (e.g. tow motor, WHIMIS, hoisting, etc.)   In addition to these qualifications, you’ll be a great fit for this role if you have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
