<h3>Your impact</h3>
<p>Jacobs is seeking an <b>Intermediate Process Mechanical Designer</b> to join our <b>Water/Wastewater team</b> in Ontario, aligning either to our Toronto or Ottawa office. This role will support municipal water/wastewater treatment and vertical conveyance (i.e. pump station, reservoir, water tower) projects primarily in Ontario, with growth opportunity to support major projects across Canada.</p>
<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Prepare detailed mechanical design drawings and 3D models for water and wastewater treatment facilities using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, or similar).</li>
<li>Develop piping layouts, equipment arrangements, and mechanical details in accordance with project specifications and standards.</li>
<li>Collaborate with engineers and other discipline designers to ensure design accuracy and coordination.</li>
<li>Assist in preparing bills of materials, equipment lists, and design documentation.</li>
<li>Support design reviews, clash detection, and quality checks.</li>
<li>Adhere to Jacobs’ quality assurance and safety standards throughout all phases of design.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent.</li>
<li>2+ years of experience in process mechanical and/or piping design for water/wastewater projects.</li>
<li>Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling tools (Revit preferred).</li>
<li>Knowledge of piping systems, pumps, valves, and mechanical infrastructure used in municipal treatment facilities.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and organizational skills.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Assets</h3>
<ul>
<li>Experience with large‑scale municipal projects.</li>
<li>Familiarity with Canadian codes and standards for water/wastewater infrastructure.
</li><li>Previous involvement with treatment plant upgrade projects.</li>
</ul>
