At BMW Toronto, we are looking for a motivated individual with a positive attitude who loves to challenge themselves. This is an entry level role to join our accounting team as a Junior Accountant. This position is located in downtown Toronto and is required to be onsite full time five days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily bank deposits and credit card payment reconciliations.
- Accounts receivable reconciliations of customer and departmental cash clearing accounts
- Accounts payable including coding invoices, posting and issuing payments in a timely manner.
- Monitor floor-plan accounts to ensure payments are submitted within guidelines.
- Review vehicle purchases and Inventory schedule maintenance
- Administrative filing
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing
- Other accounting duties as required by management
Minimum Qualifications
- Post secondary education with focus on accounting
- 0-1 years of relevant accounting experience
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a timely manner
- Previous automotive retail dealership work experience preferred but not required
