Gatineau Office We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Lead Accountant who is interested in joining a dynamic team at the forefront of the SD-WAN and SASE technology journey. You will be part of a finance team that is responsible for sound accounting practices in an entrepreneurial environment that fosters innovation and collaboration across teams and partners.

We are seeking a bilingual, mid-level Lead Accountant to join our finance team in our headquarter in Gatineau. This role is ideal for a professional with strong accounting expertise and leadership capabilities. The Accountant will oversee day-to-day financial operations and manage a small team of Accounting Specialists, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. The successful candidate will contribute to the accuracy and integrity of financial data and support the companys growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal postings.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with federal and provincial tax regulations, including GST/QST filings.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants during audits and reviews.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Monitor and report on financial performance and variances.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain documentation for CDAE/SRED and other tax credit programs as applicable.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors.
• Support the CEO and CFO with financial reports as required.
• Lead and supervise a small team of Accounting Specialists, providing guidance, support, and performance oversight.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Must have a CPA designation which is in good standing.
• Minimum 35 years of accounting experience, preferably in a technology or telecom environment.
• Strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills in both English and French (spoken and written)

Responsabilits

• Prparer et maintenir les registres financiers, y compris les critures au grand livre, les rapprochements et les critures de journal.
• Prparer les cltures financires mensuelles, trimestrielles et annuelles.
• Appuyer la prparation des tats financiers et des rapports destins aux parties prenantes internes et externes.
• Assurer la conformit aux rglements fiscaux fdraux et provinciaux, y compris les dclarations de TPS/TVQ.
• Collaborer avec les vrificateurs externes et les consultants fiscaux lors des audits et examens.
• Grer les processus de comptes fournisseurs et clients.
• Surveiller la performance financire et produire des analyses des carts.
• Participer aux activits de budgtisation et de prvision.
• Maintenir la documentation pour les programmes de crdits dimpt tels que le CDAE et le RS&DE.
• Communiquer efficacement avec les dpartements internes et les fournisseurs externes.
• Soutenir le PDG et le directeur financier (CFO) avec les rapports financiers requis.
• Diriger et encadrer une petite quipe de Spcialistes en comptabilit, en fournissant orientation, soutien et supervision de la performance.

• Excellentes comptences quantitatives, analytiques et comptables
• Capacit grer plusieurs priorits dans un environnement de travail dynamique et rapide

• Capacit travailler de manire autonome ou en quipe, avec une grande motivation personnelle et une attention rigoureuse aux dtails
• Aptitude communiquer des concepts commerciaux et/ou financiers complexes de manire claire et simple
• Souplesse desprit et capacit sadapter rapidement aux besoins de lentreprise
• Solide comprhension de tous les aspects de la comptabilit et de la gestion financire
• Excellentes comptences en communication, relations interpersonnelles et collaboration

Exigences

• Diplme universitaire en comptabilit, finance ou domaine connexe.
• Dtention du titre de CPA en rgle.
• Minimum de 3 5 ans dexprience en comptabilit, idalement dans un environnement technologique ou de tlcommunications.
• Excellente connaissance des normes comptables canadiennes et des rglements fiscaux.
• Matrise des logiciels comptables et de Microsoft Excel.
• Solides comptences organisationnelles et analytiques.
• Capacit travailler de manire autonome et en quipe.
• Excellentes comptences en communication en franais et en anglais (oral et crit)
