<p>KMB Law is seeking a Legal Assistant with at least two (2) years of experience. The successful candidate would assist a working group in our Business and Estate Succession group.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a vacant position and offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals and gain direct experience in a dynamic and challenging legal environment. </p><p><br></p><p><b>Position Overview</b>:</p><p>This in-office position will be located primarily in our Burlington office with occasional work in our Mississauga Head Office. Hours of work are from 9am to 5pm. The successful candidate may be required to work outside of normal business hours to meet business and client needs from time to time.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Daily administrative tasks, including support for law clerks, as required.</li><li>Meeting with clients to execute documents.</li><li>Completion and production of client invoices.</li><li>Assistance with recovery of accounts receivables.</li><li>File management and coordination.</li><li>Monitor deadlines and tickler system.</li><li>Calendar management and coordination.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Required Knowledge and Experience:</b></p><ul><li>Minimum of two (2) years working as a Legal Assistant or Executive Assistant in a law firm.</li><li>Previous exposure to law firm or professional services environment is required.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft 365.</li><li>Familiarity with legal practice group legal software e.g., OnCorp, Appara, etc. and document management and/or accounting management systems eg. ProLaw would be beneficial.</li><li>Customer service oriented.</li><li>Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Proven agility and resilience working in a fast paced environment.</li><li>Goal-oriented and willing to take ownership of customer requests.</li><li>Excellent follow through, attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Compensation Range:</p><ul><li>$55,000 - $65,000</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>How to Apply:</b></p><p><b>Interested candidates are invited to submit a resume, brief cover letter, and compensation expectations to </b> and indicate <b>" Legal Assistant, Business and Estate Succession"</b> in the subject line of your email.
