Job Description
Summary of Duties
Reporting to the Deputy City Manager, Legal Services, the Legal Counsel I position acts as a solicitor, counsel and advisor to The Corporation of the City of London on legal matters.
Focus: Land Use Planning, Development and Expropriations
The work will primarily involve legal opinions, drafting agreements, and advising on land use planning, development agreements, and expropriation matters.
Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor of Laws Degree and membership in good standing in the Law Society of Ontario.
- Three to five years of experience, preferably in Municipal Law.
Compensation Range/Other Information
$117,273 - $153,831
This posting is for one (1) permanent full-time position being filled on a temporary full-time, up to 2 years basis.
Current Hours of Work
Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid. Subject to change in accordance with business requirements.
