JOB TITLE: Maintenance Mechanic
DEPARTMENT: Production
LOCATION: Burlington, Ontario
TRAVEL: No
Canada Brick is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our manufacturing facility in Burlington, Ontario. Canada Brick is a subsidiary of General Shale Brick, North America’s largest manufacturer of clay bricks and other masonry materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Repair and troubleshoot mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics and conveying systems.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and welding procedures.
- Assist and work alongside all members of the Production Department.
- Assist the Production Department with job changes.
- Lubricates Kiln Car wheels and assists on bearing or wheel changes.
- Actively participates in maintenance shutdowns scheduled or unscheduled overtime will be required at times.
- Work in a safe and efficiently manner, according to company policies.
- Monitors Dust Collector system.
- Actively supports other crewmembers, when required.
- Reports Maintenance requests to the Supervisor and/or Lead Hands
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 4+ years Maintenance Mechanic experience.
- Conveying, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical, Pipefitting, Welding and Plumbing skills.
- An understanding of PLC and VFD System.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma / Maintenance Trade Courses.
