Maintenance Mechanic

About role:<br>Equation Staffing Solutions is looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join a warehouse operations team in Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting machinery and equipment, managing maintenance inventory, and assisting with general building maintenance to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.<br><br>
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment and machinery.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.</li><li>Minimize downtime during repairs to ensure operations remain on schedule.</li><li>Assist with facility maintenance tasks such as lighting, plumbing, or general repairs as needed.</li><li>Support equipment installation and relocation projects.</li><li>Maintain accurate service and repair logs.</li><li>Manage and track inventory of parts, supplies, and tools to ensure availability for repairs.</li><li>Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures.</li></ul>
<br>Qualifications & Requirements:<ul><li>Minimum 3 years of industrial or mechanical maintenance experience.</li><li>Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and diagrams.</li><li>Welding experience is an asset.</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a physically demanding environment.</li><li>Comfortable working around noise, dust, changing temperatures, and moving warehouse equipment.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications are a plus).</li></ul>About Equation Staffing Solutions:<br><p>Equation Staffing Solutions is a successful, award-winning Calgary based staffing and recruitment agency specializing in the placement of candidates on a temporary, contract or permanent basis.
