<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY:</strong></p><p><strong>Responsible for:</strong></p><ul><li>Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment</li><li>Providing support in facility related projects and preventative maintenance tasks</li><li>Following and complying with Cube Management Systems (CMS)</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Injection Molding Machinery</strong></p><ul><li>Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic, hybrid, and electric injection molding machines.</li><li>Troubleshoot issues related to hydraulic circuits, pumps, valves, leaks, pressures, and actuators.</li><li>Identify and repair electrical faults, including sensors, relays, heaters, thermocouples, limit switches, and safety interlocks.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain and repair clamp systems, ejector systems, platen alignment, tie-bars, lubrication systems, and mechanical wear components.</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance (PM) inspections and complete required documentation.</li><li>Inspect and maintain barrel assemblies, heater bands, wiring, and cooling channels.</li></ul><p><strong>Robotics & Automation</strong></p><ul><li>Troubleshoot and repair 3-axis sprue pickers and 6-axis industrial robots (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa, Wittmann, Yushin).</li><li>Perform adjustments and repairs to end-of-arm tooling (EOAT)</li><li>Diagnose robot I/O issues and perform minor program edits for recovery</li><li>Maintain and troubleshoot downstream automation equipment such as conveyors, separators, and handling systems</li></ul><p><strong>Auxiliary Equipment (asset)</strong></p><ul><li>Inspect and repair water, air, and vacuum lines associated with molding operations.</li><li>Maintain and troubleshoot:</li></ul><p> • Resin dryers and loaders</p><p> • Blenders</p><p> • Grinders</p><p> • Temperature control units (TCUs)</p><p> • Chillers</p><p> • Hot runner temperature controllers</p><p><strong>General Maintenance</strong></p><ul><li>Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics.</li><li>Perform mechanical repairs using machine tools such as grinders, drill presses, and lathes (as required).</li><li>Follow all safety rules, SOPs, and lockout/tagout procedures.</li><li>Report hazards, irregularities, or unsafe conditions to the Supervisor immediately.</li><li>Support facility-related maintenance tasks as assigned.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>POSITION REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><p><strong>Skills/ Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) license or Industrial Electrician an asset</li><li>Minimum 2–5 years of experience maintaining injection molding machinery in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.</li><li>Experience maintaining robotics and automation equipment.</li><li>Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults independently.</li><li>Familiarity with computerized machinery and machine controls.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret general technical documents, schematics, and manuals.</li><li>Good manual dexterity and ability to work to exacting standards.</li><li>Physical strength and stamina for working around heavy industrial equipment.</li><li>Effective verbal communication and teamwork skills.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Equipment experience with any of the following is an asset:</strong></p><ul><li>Injection Molding Machines: Engel, Husky, Milacron, Arburg, Nissei, Sumitomo Demag</li><li>Hot Runner Systems: Mold-Masters, Husky</li><li>Robotics: Fanuc, ABB, Yushin, Wittmann</li><li>Auxiliary Equipment: Piovan, Matsui, Novatec, etc.</li></ul><p><strong>Other Job Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Must be able to speak, read and write English</li><li>Must have reliable transportation</li><li>Must have full range of motion</li><li>Must be able to sit, stand/walk for long periods of time</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Extended dental, health and vision coverage</li><li>RRSP match</li><li>Bonus potential in addition to base pay</li><li>Free on-site parking</li></ul></p></p>
