As a progressive and vibrant healthcare organization, we are committed to being an innovative center of excellence in community hospital care.</p>Job Description<br><br><p>We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager, Food Services for Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) in Oakville, Canada. The ideal candidate will lead our food services team in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals to patients, staff, and visitors while ensuring efficient operations and compliance with health and safety standards.</p><ul><li>Oversee daily food service operations, including meal planning, preparation, and delivery</li><li>Develop and implement menu cycles that meet nutritional guidelines and patient dietary requirements</li><li>Manage and train food service staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork</li><li>Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, health codes, and hospital policies</li><li>Control food and labor costs through effective budgeting, inventory management, and staff scheduling</li><li>Collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet patients&#39; nutritional needs and dietary restrictions</li><li>Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction</li><li>Coordinate with other hospital departments to streamline food service operations and enhance patient care</li><li>Analyze and report on key performance indicators to continuously improve food service efficiency and effectiveness</li><li>Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner</li></ul>Qualifications<br><br><ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality Management, or related field</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare setting</li><li>Current Food Safety Certification (e.g., ServSafe)</li><li>Proven track record in menu planning, budgeting, and cost control</li><li>Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service operations</li><li>Excellent leadership and team management skills</li><li>Proficiency in inventory management and food service software systems</li><li>Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making abilities</li><li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>In-depth understanding of healthcare dietary requirements and hospital food service operations</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities</li><li>Commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction</li></ul><br><br>Additional Information<br><br><p><strong>Status</strong>: Temporary Full-time (Approx. 18 months)</p><p><strong>Hours</strong>: Monday to Friday - 7.5 hour day shifts; 0800 - 1600 (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)</p><p><strong>Salary</strong>: $53.026 to $66.308 per hour</p><p><strong>Date posted:</strong> November 4, 2025</p><p><strong>Internal applications due by:</strong> November 11, 2025</p><p><strong>REF2797G</strong></p><p></p><p>Halton Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer who is committed to integrating diversity, equity and inclusion throughout our operations, policies and culture.
