Our Burlington office has an immediate opening for a full-time Manager - US Taxation. Reporting to Senior Managers and Partners, you will be responsible for: * Review U.S. personal and/or corporate tax returns prepared by staff, delivering clear, constructive feedback to support their growth and ensure accuracy. * Play a pivotal role in the expansion of the U.S. Tax group by actively contributing to tax planning strategies, client management, and service delivery initiatives. * Provide both technical expertise and project management support for complex U.S personal and/or corporate tax engagements. * Conduct in-depth tax research, interpret relevant legislation, and develop innovative solutions and actionable recommendations for complex tax matters. * Proactively identify and communicate significant findings or issues to the Tax Senior Manager and Tax Partner, offering well-reasoned recommendations and collaborating with stakeholders as needed. * Deliver planning and advisory services related to cross-border tax structures and compliance requirements. * Manage a portfolio of U.S. tax clients, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with all filing and reporting deadlines. * Act as a mentor and coach to assigned U.S. tax staff, fostering professional development and team engagement. * Support business development efforts, including identifying opportunities and participating in client proposals and presentations as required. * Provide U.S. tax support and guidance to other offices within the firm as needed. The successful candidate will have: * Minimum of four (4) years post qualification US tax experience in a public accounting practice. * US Certified Public Accountant or Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant Designation (CPA) or IRS Enrolled Agent Designation * Experience in an oversight role If you are a confident, dedicated, and hard-working professional who is motivated to achieve high standards of quality service and value to clients, we would we love to hear from you!
