You only pay for Disability plans.</li><li>Paid Sick Days</li><li>RRSP Match</li><li>Extensive hands-on Training program</li></ul><h3>Position Summary</h3><p>The Toyota Certified Technician diagnoses problems, performs repairs and provides preventative maintenance service on material handling equipment at a customer’s site.</p><h3>Specific Accountabilities</h3><ul><li>Performs repairs and services on various types of material handling equipment and its components including forklifts, stackers, electric carts, electric tow trucks, transporters.</li><li>Performs preventive maintenance and Lift Device Inspection at prescribed intervals of time and repairs on various types of material handling equipment including forklifts, stackers, electric carts, electric tow trucks, transporters.</li><li>Sound knowledge of utilizing electronic manuals, use of digital voltage meters and applicable diagnostic software for repairing/servicing of material handling equipment.</li><li>Sound knowledge of electrical/electronic component diagnosis.</li><li>Uses instruction manuals and wiring diagrams to diagnose components, and electrical wiring.</li><li>Ensures work performed is verified and the truck returned to the customer clean and operational.</li><li>Ensures customer work area is clean and free of debris, oil and grease.</li><li>Performs related duties as assigned.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><h3>Education & Work Experience</h3><p>College diploma and/or completion of a trade school certification or equivalent work experience. 3-5 years’ experience as an auto, forklift, heavy equipment or truck and coach mechanic. A valid driver’s license is required.</p><p>Experience repairing Toyota Products preferred. A valid driver’s license and provincial propane license (ICE-IE-P or ICE-P) are required. Power Lift Truck License (PLT) is preferred.</p><h3>Competencies and Skills</h3><ul><li>Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems of battery and Internal Combustion powered material handling equipment</li><li>Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles</li><li>Knowledge of the use of hand tools and measuring devices</li><li>Knowledge of the use of electrical/electronic diagnostic tools/measurements</li><li>Effective analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills</li><li>Customer service oriented</li><li>Ability to be flexible and work in a fast paced and changing environment</li></ul><h3>Working Conditions</h3><p>A Toyota Certified Technician will work in a variety of environments depending on customer facilities such as a warehouse, shop, parking lot etc. Including varying temperatures and subjected to dust, dirt, grease and noise levels ranging from moderate to loud. Frequently works in a crouched position or on back lying on mechanic’s dolly beneath motor vehicle equipment. Requires the ability to lift 50 pounds.</p><p>Liftow is an equal opportunity employer.
