Your role, your impact
As a Microsoft data and analytics consultant, you will be responsible for helping our clients achieve business success by making data understandable and actionable. In this multifaceted client-facing role, you will help define processes to meet business goals, lead data design and integration efforts, and play a key role in developing advanced data and analytical solutions.
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions;
- Identify and implement KPIs, measures, dimensions, and other key business drivers;
- Analyze client operations and applications;
- Review objectives, key business metrics and enterprise reporting requirements with clients;
- Evaluate current systems and help define the architecture and ETL strategies for data warehousing;
- Make data accessible through various reporting applications (e.g., Fabric).
Keys to your success
Bachelor’s degree in science;
Experience architecting, designing and developing data integration (ETL) solutions (primarily using Microsoft technologies), as well as with reporting and analytics solutions;
Experience with transactional and/or dimensional conceptual and logical data modelling, for both traditional relational data warehouse and modern data lake house architectures;
Strong experience with database technologies: T-SQL, DAX, PySpark, Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, or other cloud data service providers;
Strong experience with data integration: SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or other enterprise ETL tools;
Strong experience with reporting or analytics tools: Fabric/Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, Excel;
Excellent presentation, communication, leadership and client development skills to effectively present information to C-level management, public groups and/or boards of directors;
Experience with master data management, metadata management, data governance, data strategies and assessments, data modelling;
Experience with big data, data lake, column-oriented datastores, and other on-premises and cloud-based advanced data technologies;
Experience with Dynamics AX/D365 Finance and Operations;
Experience with TimeXtender and Jet Data Manager, or other data warehouse automation tools;
Knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain processes and use of ERP data sources.
