New Business Development Account Executive, TELUS Health Care Centers

In our highly dynamic, fast-paced B2B environment, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Account Executive to target new business and grow our Occupational Health and Executive Health portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and driving the expansion of our Care Centre suite of services.

Your strategic thinking, industry knowledge, and excellent communication skills will be critical to your success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scope: Business development/new sales targeted at Alberta based Enterprise and Mid-market large clients (majority will be 1000+ employees) Sales of all Telus Health Care Centers solutions (Occupational Health, Executive Health, TELUS Health lead generations & additional solutions)
  • Business Strategy and Planning: Develop a comprehensive business development strategy and plan Define target client segments, prioritize opportunities, and set clear objectives for revenue growth and market penetration Develop and manage a strong pipeline to ensure 3-4x quota target coverage
  • Client Relationship Management: Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and clients in target industries Develop a positive profile for TELUS through networking, attending and participating in trade shows and conferences, public speaking, and other sources Prepare and present comprehensive and compelling business presentations to various internal and external constituencies including senior client executives Understand clients’ needs, challenges, and pain points to tailor solutions that address their specific requirements
  • Sales and Lead Generation: Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through proactive lead generation, networking, and attending industry events Collaborate with internal resources to create compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches that highlight the value of our services
  • Collaboration and Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, finance and medical professionals, to ensure seamless execution and delivery of services Provide valuable insights from the field to help refine service offerings and strategies
  • Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, preferably in the healthcare or corporate wellness industry
  • Strong understanding of occupational health, employee well-being, and executive health programs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients and internal teams
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding revenue targets
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant business tools
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
  • Bilingual English and French, essential

  • Scope: Business development/new sales targeted at Alberta based Enterprise and Mid-market large clients (majority will be 1000+ employees) Sales of all THCC solutions (Occupational Health, Executive Health, additional solutions) TH lead generation – so while the team member will carry a quota for OH and EH, they need to be able to showcase the full suite of solutions
  • Experience: Must be experienced with 8-10 years of business development/sales experience as this team member will be working with the most experienced internal sales executives and largest clients in AB Experience with Occupational Health is a huge asset and would be a top priority for me in this candidate group.Alternatively, someone with sales experience in benefits, medical solutions, etc… This team member will have a significant focus on OH due to the nature of the clients in the region
