Location: Fort McMurray, Alberta (seeking candidates local to Calgary or Red Deer)

Position Type: Full-time

Wage/Salary Range: Competitive compensation based on experience

Shift Schedule: 45-day in-camp rotation, 6 days on and 1 day off; starting January

Hours Per Day: Up to 12 hours per day

Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Nitrogen Truck Swamper to join our valued client’s team in Fort McMurray. This full-time role is well suited to an individual committed to safe operations, physical work, and supporting nitrogen pumping crews.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist nitrogen truck operators during rig-in, rig-out, and pumping operations.

  • Handle and position hoses, iron, and related equipment safely.

  • Support equipment refueling, inspections, and basic maintenance tasks.

  • Follow direction from Operators and Field Supervisors regarding site setup and breakdown.

  • Perform safe spotting for equipment movements on active well sites.

  • Lift, carry, and maneuver equipment components up to 75 lbs.

  • Conduct pre- and post-trip equipment checks under supervision.

  • Participate in safety meetings, FLHAs, and hazard identification activities.

  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and support readiness of all tools and materials.

  • Adhere to all company and client HS&E procedures and protocols.

  • Report hazards, unsafe conditions, and required maintenance promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract.

  • Ability to work extended rotations in remote camp environments.

  • Physically capable of lifting and performing labour-intensive tasks.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow direction.

  • Standard First Aid, H2S Alive, and other safety certifications (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous oilfield or well service experience.

  • Exposure to nitrogen pumping operations or support roles.

Work Environment:

  • Field-based role in outdoor conditions, including cold temperatures and uneven terrain.

  • Work performed around heavy equipment, high-pressure systems, and active wellsite operations.

  • Camp accommodations provided during rotation.
